We seek an experienced, motivated "early-career" property manager with strong leadership capabilities to oversee residential property management activities to maximize sales, profitability, and tenant satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to manage and expand a dynamic portfolio of multi-family properties in Indianapolis while collaborating with a mission-driven team focused on long-term growth in markets across the U.S.
As a strategic Property Manager, you'll manage the performance of an existing multi-site portfolio of 500-600 residential units while contributing to acquiring and integrating new properties. You'll lead and develop onsite and offshore teams, drive operational and property improvements, and play a critical role in shaping the firm's expanding third-party property management business line.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Execute business strategies to maximize property performance
- Oversee capital improvement projects
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners and investors
- Lead and mentor property management teams - onsite and offshore
- Contribute to the development of company policies and best practices
- Network with industry professionals and participate in local or regional associations
- Support the firm's growth by integrating new properties and developing third-party property management opportunities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal candidate will be at an early to mid-career level with a penchant to continue to grow and develop their skills while contributing to the company's strategic objectives. They will be an intelligent, driven problem solver and a team leader with a high EQ and a solid understanding of property management.
- 3+ years of residential property management or related experience, with prior supervisory experience, ideally with boutique firms and investment-focused portfolios
- Expertise in property operations, budget management, analytics and reporting, lease and property management, compliance, and proficiency with property management software
- Strong communication skills and customer service excellence with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Excellent leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage dispersed teams and implement strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field
- Predominately local travel, with the ability to travel within the Midwest (10% or as necessary)
